Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout and identify new and emerging musical talent across various genres through live performances, online submissions, social media, and industry networks.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, and other music industry professionals.
- Evaluate demo submissions, live performances, and existing material to assess artistic merit, commercial viability, and alignment with company vision.
- Conduct thorough market research to stay abreast of current music trends, emerging genres, and competitor activities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on potential artists, including biographical information, musical analysis, audience engagement, and market potential.
- Assist in the negotiation of artist agreements and contracts, working closely with legal and business affairs teams.
- Collaborate with the A&R team and other departments on artist development strategies, including songwriting, production, and branding.
- Attend industry events, showcases, and conferences, representing Career.zycto and expanding professional networks.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to artists to help refine their craft and maximize their potential.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in music A&R, talent scouting, or a related role within the music industry (minimum 3 years).
- Exceptional ear for talent across diverse musical genres and styles.
- Strong understanding of music production, songwriting, and artist development processes.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
- Superior communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
- In-depth knowledge of current music industry trends, market dynamics, and digital platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with standard office software and music-related digital tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Arts Management, Communications, or a related field.
