Career.zycto is actively seeking an experienced and passionate A&R Talent Scout to join our dynamic team in Benton, Arkansas. This is an immediate hire opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a proven ability to identify and cultivate groundbreaking musical talent. As an A&R Talent Scout, you will be the eyes and ears of our organization, constantly searching for the next generation of artists across various genres. Your role will be critical in shaping our roster and contributing to the future sound of the music industry.
We are looking for someone with an exceptional ear for music, a deep understanding of current trends, and an innate ability to spot raw, untapped potential. You will be responsible for proactively scouting talent through live performances, industry showcases, digital platforms, and your own extensive network. Building and maintaining strong relationships with artists, producers, managers, and other industry professionals will be key to your success. You’ll be evaluating demos, attending recording sessions, and providing creative input that helps artists refine their craft and maximize their commercial appeal.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and scout emerging musical talent across various genres through live shows, digital platforms, and industry networks.
- Attend concerts, showcases, festivals, and industry events to discover new artists and stay abreast of musical trends.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, songwriters, and other key industry contacts.
- Evaluate demos, online submissions, and raw recordings with a critical and discerning ear for commercial viability and artistic potential.
- Present potential artist signings and development opportunities to the A&R team and executive leadership with compelling pitches.
- Collaborate with artists on creative direction, songwriting, production, and overall brand development.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumption data to inform scouting strategies and artist development plans.
- Assist in the negotiation and execution of recording, publishing, and other relevant contracts.
- Act as a primary liaison between artists and various internal departments (marketing, legal, publicity).
- Travel frequently as required for scouting, meetings, and industry events.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in an A&R or talent scouting role within the music industry.
- Exceptional ability to identify and evaluate musical talent across diverse genres.
- Proven track record of discovering and signing artists.
- Extensive network of contacts within the music industry (artists, managers, producers, promoters).
- Strong understanding of music production, songwriting, and the creative process.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated negotiation and deal-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of current music market trends, digital platforms, and cultural shifts.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
