Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Assembler to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Vacoas-Phoenix, Mauritius. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the precise assembly of components and sub-assemblies according to engineering specifications and production schedules. This position is ideal for an individual with a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, and a commitment to producing high-quality finished goods. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble components accurately and efficiently according to blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete assembly tasks with high precision.
- Perform thorough quality checks on assembled parts and finished products to ensure they meet specified standards and tolerances.
- Identify and report any defective materials, components, or assembly issues to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, strictly adhering to 5S principles and all workplace safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management by accurately counting, tracking, and reporting component usage.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to optimize assembly processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance skills and contribute to process advancements.
Required Skills
- Proven manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in execution.
- Ability to read and interpret basic assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift moderate weights (up to 15 kg).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certification in a relevant field is a distinct advantage.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably within an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with specific assembly tools or machinery relevant to our industry.
