Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and tear down complex audio equipment for various live productions and recordings.
- Perform comprehensive sound checks and make real-time adjustments to ensure optimal audio quality and clarity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with audio systems, including signal flow, microphones, and mixing consoles, promptly and efficiently.
- Mix and master audio for live events, studio recordings, broadcast segments, and post-production projects.
- Conduct routine maintenance and necessary repairs on audio equipment, ensuring its readiness for all assignments.
- Collaborate effectively with event managers, producers, artists, and clients to achieve desired sound outcomes and artistic visions.
- Assist with the design, planning, and implementation of audio setups for new and ongoing projects.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety standards and operational procedures related to audio equipment and event environments.
- Manage and organize all audio cables, microphones, stands, and other accessories to maintain an efficient and safe workspace.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as an Audio Technician or in a similar professional audio role.
- Proficiency in operating both digital and analog mixing consoles.
- Strong understanding of acoustics, audio signal flow, and core audio principles.
- Expertise in microphone placement, selection, and wiring techniques for diverse applications.
- Familiarity with various PA systems, stage monitors, in-ear systems, and audio processors.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex audio equipment issues under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and client interaction.
- High degree of adaptability, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal certification or degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, or a related technical field.
- Experience with industry-standard Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live).
- Knowledge of broadcast audio standards and equipment, including remote broadcast setups.
- Experience with live streaming audio setups and virtual event production.
- Valid German driver's license (Class B).
- Fluency in German (both written and verbal).
