Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and dismantle various audio equipment (microphones, mixers, speakers) for live events and studio sessions.
- Perform sound checks and make necessary adjustments for optimal audio quality, clarity, and balance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with audio systems, resolving problems efficiently.
- Manage audio signal flow, patching, and routing for complex setups.
- Collaborate with production teams and clients to meet audio requirements.
- Conduct regular maintenance, calibration, and inventory checks of audio gear.
- Assist with post-production tasks, including editing, mixing, and mastering audio content.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Audio Technician or similar role (minimum 2 years).
- Proficiency in operating digital and analog mixing consoles.
- Strong understanding of audio signal flow, acoustics, and sound reinforcement principles.
- Experience with various microphone types and their appropriate applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex audio systems quickly and effectively.
- Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Adobe Audition.
- Excellent ear for detail and critical listening skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written); German language skills are a significant advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certification or degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, or a related field.
- Experience with live streaming audio setups and broadcast environments.
- Knowledge of network audio protocols (e.g., Dante, AVB).
- A portfolio or reel demonstrating previous audio work.
