Key Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate a wide range of audio equipment, including microphones, mixing consoles, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and outboard gear.
- Conduct professional recording sessions for vocals, instruments, and other sound sources, ensuring optimal sound capture and signal flow.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on studio equipment to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
- Assist sound engineers and producers with mixing and mastering processes, offering technical support and contributing to the sonic integrity of projects.
- Manage and organize audio files, session data, and backups, adhering to established archiving protocols.
- Provide technical support during live recording sessions, sound checks, and studio rehearsals.
- Collaborate with artists, producers, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality audio outputs.
- Stay updated with new audio technologies, software, and industry best practices to continuously improve workflows and output quality.
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are adhered to within the studio environment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live).
- Strong understanding of audio signal flow, microphone techniques, and acoustics.
- Experience with recording, editing, mixing, and basic mastering processes.
- Familiarity with various audio hardware and software, including plugins and virtual instruments.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for audio equipment and software issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively in a team.
- Detail-oriented with a critical ear for sound quality and musicality.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
