Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, installation, and operation of audio-visual equipment, including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, mixers, and cameras.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of AV systems and equipment to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Provide on-site technical support during events, ensuring smooth operation of all AV components.
- Learn to operate various AV software and hardware under supervision.
- Safely transport, load, and unload AV equipment to and from various event locations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inventory checks on equipment to ensure readiness for deployment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and clients to understand event requirements and deliver high-quality AV solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure proper storage of all AV gear.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on job sites and in the warehouse.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of audio or visual concepts (e.g., sound principles, display types).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to work with hands-on technical tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or certification in AV technology, electronics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common presentation software.
- Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
- A genuine interest in live events, production, or media technology.
