Job Description
Are you a compassionate, responsible, and experienced individual with a genuine love for children, eager to embark on a new chapter in a vibrant city? Career.zycto is delighted to present an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Babysitter to join a private household in the charming Craigmillar area of Edinburgh. This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to become an integral part of a family’s support system, providing nurturing care and fostering a positive environment for their children. We understand the challenges of relocating, which is why this unique position includes comprehensive visa sponsorship for the right candidate, making your transition to Scotland seamless and stress-free. We believe in supporting our candidates every step of the way, ensuring you can focus on what you do best: caring for children.
In this full-time role, you will be primarily responsible for the daily care, supervision, and engagement of young children within their family home. Your days will be filled with creative play, age-appropriate educational activities, and ensuring the children’s safety and well-being are always prioritized. This includes preparing nutritious snacks and meals, assisting with homework, coordinating outdoor excursions to local parks or attractions, and managing bath and bedtime routines. We are looking for someone who can bring warmth, energy, and unwavering reliability, capable of creating a stimulating, secure, and loving routine. The family values open communication, a proactive approach to childcare, and someone who can adapt to their evolving needs while respecting their privacy and household dynamics. This is more than just childcare; it’s about building trusting relationships and contributing significantly to a happy, thriving home environment where children can flourish.
We seek an individual with demonstrable experience in childcare, ideally within a private household setting, who possesses excellent communication skills, impeccable organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of child development stages. You should be prepared to assist with light household duties directly related to the children, such as tidying play areas, organizing toys, and doing children’s laundry. A clean driving license would be a distinct advantage, particularly for school runs or extracurricular activities, though it is not strictly essential if you are comfortable with public transport or walking. If you are passionate about providing high-quality, attentive childcare, eager to embrace a new culture, and seeking a stable, long-term opportunity with full visa support, we strongly encourage you to apply. This role offers a competitive salary, a supportive family environment, and the invaluable benefit of visa sponsorship, opening doors to a rewarding life and career in the beautiful capital of Scotland.
