Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bailiff to join our esteemed network of legal enforcement professionals in Altstadt, Hamburg. As a Bailiff, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of the legal system, performing duties that range from serving legal documents and enforcing debt collection to seizing and auctioning property in accordance with German law. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute court orders, warrants, and legal judgments efficiently and in full compliance with German law.
  • Serve legal documents, including summons, subpoenas, and writs, to individuals and entities.
  • Enforce debt recovery procedures, including contacting debtors, negotiating payment plans, and initiating seizure of assets.
  • Conduct property valuations, secure assets for auction, and manage the auction process.
  • Maintain accurate records of all enforcement actions, transactions, and correspondence.
  • Liaise effectively with courts, legal representatives, public authorities, and concerned parties.
  • Handle sensitive situations with discretion, professionalism, and adherence to privacy regulations.
  • Provide clear and concise reports on case progress and outcomes.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant legislation and enforcement procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Bailiff or in a similar legal enforcement role.
  • Thorough understanding of German civil law, debt recovery laws, and enforcement procedures.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving aptitude.
  • High degree of integrity, ethical conduct, and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload effectively.
  • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., MS Office Suite) and case management systems.
  • Fluent in German (C2 level) and professional working proficiency in English (B2 level).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal qualification or certification as a Gerichtsvollzieher (Bailiff) in Germany.
  • Experience with electronic case management systems specific to legal enforcement.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
