Key Responsibilities
- Process a variety of customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, cheque cashing, and funds transfers.
- Verify customer identities and transaction details to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Handle cash and negotiable instruments with precision, maintaining an accurate cash drawer and balancing at the end of each shift.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide comprehensive information on banking products and services.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and refer customers to relevant specialists for more complex needs.
- Adhere strictly to all banking policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, including AML and GDPR.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful demeanour to foster positive customer relationships.
- Assist with branch operational duties, such as opening and closing procedures, ATM servicing, and record keeping.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive branch environment.
- Contribute to achieving individual and branch sales and service targets.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably within a banking or financial environment.
- Proven experience handling cash and managing transactions with high accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and the ability to learn new banking software quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and ethical conduct.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
