Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the precise setup of banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and décor according to event specifications.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests with professionalism and attention to detail, adhering to established service standards.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to inquiries or requests promptly and courteously to ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Clear tables, transport dirty dishes and glassware to the kitchen, and assist with dishwashing duties as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas, service stations, and storage rooms throughout events.
  • Assist with the breakdown of event spaces, carefully packing away equipment and ensuring the venue is ready for subsequent events.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, event planners, and other service team members to ensure coordinated service.

Required Skills

  • No prior banquet or hospitality experience required – full training provided!
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a flexible schedule for various event timings.
  • A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Food Safe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Serving It Right certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Basic understanding of service etiquette.
  • Previous experience in any customer-facing role (retail, casual dining, etc.).
