Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of banquet events from initial setup to breakdown, ensuring seamless execution.
- Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) thoroughly and communicate all details to relevant departments (kitchen, service, AV, housekeeping).
- Manage and supervise banquet service staff, including scheduling, training, assigning duties, and performance monitoring.
- Liaise directly with clients to finalize event details, special requests, and ensure their complete satisfaction throughout the event.
- Oversee event setup, ensuring proper arrangement of tables, chairs, linens, AV equipment, and decor according to specifications.
- Monitor event progress, address any issues or client requests promptly and professionally, and make real-time adjustments as needed.
- Maintain inventory of banquet equipment and supplies, coordinating orders and rentals as necessary.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations during event preparation and execution.
- Prepare comprehensive post-event reports and assist with billing inquiries to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with culinary, sales, and housekeeping teams to ensure integrated and harmonious event delivery.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in banquet operations, catering, or event coordination.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a strong ability to prioritize.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in hospitality management software (e.g., Opera, Delphi, ResRequest).
- Acute attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
