Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of daily bar operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate bar staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement innovative cocktail and beverage menus, staying abreast of industry trends.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
- Monitor and analyze bar performance, implementing strategies to increase sales and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, resolving issues effectively.
- Manage bar budgets, labor costs, and operational expenses to meet financial targets.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
- Implement promotional activities and events to attract and retain customers.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar leadership role in a high-volume establishment.
- Excellent knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, inventory, and labor costs.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (for communication with staff/customers and documentation).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
