Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages (espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.) and other drinks according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment, ensuring cleanliness and optimal performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and resolving inquiries politely and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, counter area, and seating area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and restock inventory for coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the coffee shop, including cleaning tasks and preparation for the next shift.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene protocols.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a coffee shop.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and presentation.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating change.
- Knowledge of various coffee types, brewing methods, and espresso preparation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food handler's permit or relevant certification (if required by local regulations).
