Job Description
We are seeking a vibrant and highly skilled Bartender to join our energetic team, specifically focusing on our dynamic Night Lounge operations. This pivotal role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and possesses an exceptional flair for mixology and customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, with speed and accuracy.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, adhering to all hygiene and safety regulations.
- Manage cash and card transactions accurately, reconciling sales at the end of each shift.
- Monitor and manage beverage inventory, placing orders as needed and minimizing waste.
- Adhere to all local and resort-specific alcohol service laws and responsible serving practices.
- Assist in the development of new cocktail recipes and drink menus to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
- Resolve guest complaints professionally and efficiently, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with other F&B team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Perform opening and closing duties as per established procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender, preferably in a hotel, resort, or high-volume lounge setting.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and classic cocktail recipes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong cash handling and POS system proficiency.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations related to food and beverage service.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from a reputable bartending school.
- Experience with inventory management and stock control systems.
- Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., Swahili, English, French, German) is an added advantage.
