Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and customer-focused Bartender to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team for night shifts. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, following standard recipes and hotel guidelines.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner, providing recommendations and ensuring a positive bar experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, garnishes, and inventory.
- Accurately process cash and credit card transactions, managing the till and ensuring proper reconciliation at the end of the shift.
- Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and assist with ordering and receiving bar supplies.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as local licensing laws regarding alcohol service.
- Collaborate effectively with other F&B team members, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure seamless service.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, escalating issues when necessary.
- Contribute to creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, upholding the hotel's brand standards and service philosophy.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender, preferably in a hotel or high-volume restaurant setting.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and active listening.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and cash handling.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and local regulations.
- High level of professionalism and a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Hospitality, Mixology, or Food & Beverage service.
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g., French, Swahili) is a significant advantage.
- Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Demonstrated creativity in developing new drink recipes.
