Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up treatment rooms to the highest standards, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and full stocking of all necessary products and equipment before and after each treatment session.
- Actively assist beauty therapists with various treatments, including but not limited to facials, massages, manicures, pedicures, and body wraps, as required.
- Warmly welcome guests to the spa, offering refreshments, providing guidance, and ensuring a comfortable and relaxing waiting experience.
- Efficiently manage spa linen, overseeing the collection, laundering, and distribution of fresh towels and robes, maintaining a constant supply.
- Uphold and exceed the stringent cleanliness and hygiene standards across all spa areas, including the reception, changing rooms, relaxation zones, and treatment rooms.
- Execute thorough sanitization and sterilization of all tools and equipment in strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with comprehensive inventory management, including stocking products, monitoring usage, and proactively informing therapists of low supply levels.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, promptly addressing guest inquiries, anticipating needs, and ensuring their comfort throughout their entire spa journey.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and navigating the spa’s booking system when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Proactively promote spa products and services to guests, providing detailed information on their benefits and suitability.
- Support the overall smooth and harmonious operation of the Frangipani Spa, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Minimum of 6 months of demonstrable experience in a spa, salon, or upscale hospitality environment.
- Foundational knowledge of common beauty treatments, spa procedures, and industry best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Superior organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- A consistently friendly, professional, and genuinely client-focused demeanor.
- Physical capability to handle the demands of the job, including standing for extended periods and lifting supplies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Beauty Therapy, Esthetics, Cosmetology, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Prior experience working specifically within a luxury hotel or resort spa setting.
- Proficiency in various massage techniques and a comprehensive understanding of diverse skin care products.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills (e.g., Swahili, French, German, Italian) are highly advantageous.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
