Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in field trials, collecting biological samples and data on crop growth, yield, and disease resistance.
  • Maintain meticulous records of experiments, observations, and results, ensuring data integrity and reproducibility.
  • Utilize statistical software for data analysis and interpret complex biological data to derive meaningful conclusions.
  • Prepare comprehensive scientific reports, presentations, and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including plant breeders, agronomists, and geneticists, to achieve research objectives.
  • Stay updated with the latest scientific literature, methodologies, and technological advancements in plant biology and crop science.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Plant Science, Agronomy, Genetics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in biological research, preferably in an agricultural or plant science setting.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, electrophoresis, and microscopy.
  • Strong understanding of experimental design, data collection, and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with field trial methodologies and plant phenotyping.
