Job Description

Vodacom Mozambique is seeking a proactive Brand Ambassador Assistant to join our team in Marrupa, Niassa Province. This entry-level full-time position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in brand promotion, customer interaction, and local market activation. You will play a crucial role in representing Vodacom in the local community, assisting with promotional activities, and ensuring our brand message resonates effectively with potential and existing customers.

As a Brand Ambassador Assistant, you will work closely with our regional marketing and sales teams to support various initiatives aimed at increasing brand visibility and driving product adoption. Your day-to-day will involve assisting in the organization and execution of local events, workshops, and roadshows, where you will engage directly with the public, answer questions about our services, and guide them through our offerings. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to connect with people. You will be an integral part of our efforts to build strong community relationships and gather valuable feedback that helps us tailor our services to meet local needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of local brand activation events, promotions, and campaigns in Marrupa and surrounding areas.
  • Engage with potential and existing customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing information about Vodacom products and services.
  • Help set up and dismantle promotional materials, displays, and event stands.
  • Distribute marketing collateral, such as flyers, brochures, and promotional items.
  • Gather customer feedback, insights, and market intelligence to share with the wider marketing team.
  • Support the senior brand ambassador and sales team in achieving regional targets.
  • Ensure brand guidelines and messaging are consistently applied in all interactions and activities.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new products, services, and promotional strategies.
  • Document and report on daily activities, customer interactions, and event outcomes.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Portuguese (both written and verbal).
  • Strong ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of mobile technology and telecommunication services.
  • Residency in Marrupa or a strong willingness to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer service, sales, or promotional activities (even informal roles).
  • Knowledge of local dialects in the Niassa Province.
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) for reporting.
