Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential clients for loans, deposits, and other banking products within the Gokwe region.
- Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular engagement and comprehensive needs-based assessments.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and specific client needs relevant to the Gokwe and wider Midlands Province market.
- Prepare and present tailored financial solutions and proposals to clients, demonstrating a deep and comprehensive understanding of CBZ Bank's diverse product offerings.
- Consistently achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for various banking products and services, contributing to the branch's overall growth.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., Credit, Legal, Operations, Product Development) to ensure seamless client onboarding and efficient service delivery.
- Monitor client portfolios, assess creditworthiness in collaboration with the Credit department, and proactively manage associated risks.
- Represent CBZ Bank at local business functions, community events, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and foster community relations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive banking experience.
- Prepare regular, detailed reports on sales activities, client pipeline status, market insights, and performance against targets for management review.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the financial services sector.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding challenging sales targets.
- Strong understanding of banking products, services, financial markets, and regulatory environments.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, trusting client relationships.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel extensively within the Gokwe region and surrounding areas to meet clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Postgraduate qualification or professional certification in banking, finance, or sales management.
- An existing robust network of business contacts and relationships within the Gokwe, Midlands Province area.
- Prior experience with CRM software and sales automation tools to manage client interactions and pipeline.
- In-depth knowledge of local economic conditions, business sectors, and regulatory frameworks specific to Zimbabwe.
