Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, showering, and toileting.
  • Administer prescribed medication in accordance with training and company policies.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensure clients receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
  • Support clients with mobility, transfers, and safe use of mobility aids and equipment.
  • Offer companionship, engage clients in meaningful activities, and provide emotional support.
  • Perform light household tasks such as laundry, tidying, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Accurately record and report any changes in a client's condition or well-being to the senior care team.
  • Adhere strictly to individual care plans, ensuring person-centred care is delivered at all times.
  • Promote client independence and dignity, empowering them to make choices about their care.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of clients is paramount, following all safeguarding procedures.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dedicated team.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for record-keeping and medication charts.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding principles and professional boundaries.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care setting (either professional or personal).
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
  • Full UK Driving License and access to your own reliable vehicle.
  • Basic First Aid certification.
