Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care activities, including washing, dressing, and grooming, whilst promoting independence.
- Provide support with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met and encouraging hydration.
- Administer medication as per care plans and under supervision, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' health, well-being, or behaviour to senior staff.
- Engage residents in social activities, conversations, and outings to promote mental and physical well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant healthcare regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a care-giving role (e.g., as a Care Assistant, Support Worker).
- Demonstrable empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Understanding of dignity, respect, and confidentiality in care.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for record-keeping and medication administration.
- Eligibility for UK visa sponsorship (if applicable).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
