Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate safety techniques and equipment.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, tidying living areas, and grocery shopping.
  • Administer medication reminders and assist with appointment scheduling.
  • Engage clients in stimulating activities, conversation, and companionship.
  • Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or well-being to supervisory staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients.
  • Accurately document care services provided and client observations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable experience in caregiving or a related field.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong empathy, patience, and compassion for seniors.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
  • Experience with clients requiring specialized care (e.g., dementia, Alzheimer's).
  • Familiarity with local resources for seniors in Parkers Lake, Plymouth.
