Key Responsibilities
- Accurately reconcile daily cash takings, including tills, self-service checkouts, and other revenue streams.
- Prepare daily banking for secure collection, ensuring all deposits match reconciled figures.
- Manage and maintain store cash floats, ensuring appropriate levels are available for store operations.
- Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies promptly and efficiently, escalating complex issues as required.
- Process petty cash requests and maintain accurate records of all disbursements.
- Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to store management.
- Ensure strict adherence to company cash handling policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Assist with periodic cash audits and stock takes as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and secure cash office environment.
- Support store management with ad-hoc administrative tasks related to finance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cash handling or a similar administrative/financial role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong numerical skills and comfort working with figures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
