Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and mobile money payments, ensuring correct change and transaction completion.
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Answer customer inquiries, resolve minor complaints, and direct complex issues to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking and arranging merchandise near registers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and security.
- Assist with other store duties as needed, such as shelving and general tidiness.
- Reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Promote ongoing sales and loyalty programs to customers.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting colleagues when necessary.
