Job Description
Desert Palace Hotel & Casino is seeking experienced and professional Casino Dealers to join our dynamic night shift team. As a Night Shift Casino Dealer, you will be the face of our table games, engaging directly with our patrons, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable gaming experience, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and game security. You will be responsible for accurately conducting a variety of table games, including Blackjack, Roulette, Poker variants, and others, handling chips and cash, and making accurate payouts. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately deal assigned table games (e.g., Blackjack, Roulette, Poker, Baccarat) in accordance with house rules and regulatory requirements.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner, ensuring a positive and memorable gaming experience.
- Maintain strict adherence to all gaming procedures, internal controls, and ethical standards to uphold game integrity.
- Handle cash, chips, and other gaming instruments with precision and accountability, processing payouts accurately and promptly.
- Monitor game play for irregularities, disputes, or suspicious activity, reporting any concerns to the pit supervisor immediately.
- Clearly announce game outcomes and facilitate player interactions, maintaining a fair and transparent gaming environment.
- Assist in training new dealers as required, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organised table area throughout the shift.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with pit supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth casino operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Casino Dealer in a professional casino environment.
- Proficiency in dealing at least two major table games (e.g., Blackjack, Roulette).
- Exceptional mental arithmetic skills and ability to perform quick calculations.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Strong observational skills to detect and report irregularities.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per operational requirements.
- Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal qualification or certification from a reputable dealing school.
- Proficiency in dealing a wider range of table games, including Poker variants and Baccarat.
- Experience with electronic gaming tables or systems.
