Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
  • Help with setting up and clearing down dining areas, ensuring they are clean and presentable.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and serving areas at all times.
  • Wash dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans, utilizing dishwashing equipment when necessary.
  • Replenish food and beverage stations, ensuring items are adequately stocked.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
  • Support senior catering staff with various duties as required.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Provide friendly and helpful assistance to visitors when needed, maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Required Skills

  • No prior catering or hospitality experience required – full training will be provided.
  • Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness principles (or a willingness to learn rapidly).
  • Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 1 or 2) – desirable but not essential.
