Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle safely and efficiently over long distances.
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and comply with all DOT regulations.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company policies.
- Manage delivery paperwork and electronic documentation.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
- Proficiency with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations (Hours of Service, vehicle inspection, etc.)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with diverse cargo types (e.g., dry van, reefer, flatbed)
- Familiarity with GPS and route optimization software
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or willingness to obtain)
- Proven track record of safe driving practices
- Strong problem-solving abilities on the road
