Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the accurate measurement, mixing, and preparation of cement, concrete, and mortar using manual or mechanical mixers, adhering strictly to specified ratios.
  • Safely load and unload construction materials, including cement bags, sand, gravel, and water, ensuring proper handling and storage within work areas.
  • Operate basic construction tools and machinery, specifically cement mixers, under direct supervision and in strict adherence to company safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by regularly clearing debris, sweeping, and ensuring all tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly.
  • Support skilled masons and other construction workers with various manual tasks as directed by site supervisors, enhancing overall project efficiency.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Transport materials around the site using wheelbarrows or other manual means, ensuring timely delivery to designated work zones.
  • Report any observed safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or material discrepancies to site supervisors promptly to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.

Required Skills

  • Proven physical strength and stamina, capable of lifting and moving heavy materials repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work effectively and diligently in an outdoor construction environment, often under varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and consistently.
