Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and organize incoming donations of various items (clothing, books, household goods, etc.).
  • Carefully inspect donations for quality, cleanliness, and functionality, adhering to charity guidelines.
  • Sort items into appropriate categories (e.g., sellable, recycle, discard) efficiently and accurately.
  • Prepare items for display or storage, including cleaning, steaming, or minor repairs where applicable.
  • Assist with moving sorted items to designated areas within the sorting facility or retail space.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe sorting environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Support inventory management by accurately counting and recording donations as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and volunteers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to data protection and donor privacy.
