Job Description
As the Chief Business Officer (CBO) at Victoria Mutual Building Society, you will be a pivotal member of our executive leadership team, tasked with driving the overall business strategy, growth, and operational performance across all our core business segments. This is a high-impact, strategic role requiring a visionary leader who can identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, enhance our product and service offerings, and ensure our business objectives align with our long-term strategic vision. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to achieve ambitious growth targets and expand market share.
- Oversee the performance of all business units, ensuring profitability, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, product innovations, and strategic partnerships to enhance our service portfolio.
- Lead the development and implementation of digital transformation initiatives to optimize business processes and enhance member experience.
- Manage the P&L for all business operations, driving revenue growth and cost-efficiency.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Represent VMBS at key industry events, engaging with stakeholders, regulators, and strategic partners.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and risk assessments to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and corporate governance standards.
- Drive a member-centric approach, continuously improving service delivery and member satisfaction.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Extensive experience in the Jamaican market, with a deep understanding of local economic drivers and consumer behavior
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading digital transformation initiatives
- Certifications in project management or strategic leadership
