Job Description

Are you a seasoned Civil Engineer with a passion for transforming visions into tangible infrastructure? Do you thrive in dynamic on-site environments, leading teams, and ensuring project excellence from the ground up? Surrey Paving & Aggregate Co. Ltd., a venerable leader in Jamaica’s construction industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer specializing in Site Management to join our robust and expanding team in Spanish Town, Saint Catherine Parish. This is an unparalleled opportunity to contribute significantly to critical national development projects, shaping the very landscape and future of Jamaica.

In this pivotal on-site role, you will be the driving force behind the successful execution of diverse civil engineering projects, ranging from large-scale road construction and complex bridge works to advanced drainage systems and essential urban infrastructure development. You will be directly responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, meticulously ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, budget constraints, predetermined schedules, and stringent quality control and safety standards. Your expertise will be absolutely crucial in managing daily operational logistics, coordinating seamlessly with various subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams, and proactively mitigating potential risks to keep projects on an optimal trajectory. We are specifically looking for a hands-on leader who possesses the ability to inspire and guide a diverse project team, solve complex engineering and logistical challenges in real-time, and maintain meticulous documentation and progress reports throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Beyond direct oversight, you will play an instrumental role in the strategic planning, meticulous organization, and effective direction of the entire construction process. This includes optimizing resource allocation, managing equipment and materials, and ensuring that all work not only complies with both international best practices but also strictly adheres to local building codes and environmental regulations. This position demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the unwavering capacity to make informed, critical decisions efficiently, often under pressure. You will be the primary point of contact for all site-related matters, responsible for communicating progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to senior management and clients. If you are ready to take full ownership of significant infrastructure projects, make a lasting, tangible impact on community development, and grow your professional career within a reputable, innovative, and forward-thinking organization that values excellence and dedication, we strongly encourage you to apply. Join us at Surrey Paving & Aggregate Co. Ltd. and build not just structures, but a lasting legacy for Jamaica.
