Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle to transport goods over assigned routes.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all components are in good working order.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
- Manage and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics coordinators, and customers regarding delivery status and potential issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical malfunctions promptly.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum of 3 years (36 months) verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations
- Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, including HOS (Hours of Service)
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and customer service
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various trailer types (e.g., dry van, reefer, flatbed)
- Familiarity with ELD (Electronic Logging Device) systems
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside adjustments or troubleshooting
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
