As a Scaffolder, you will be an integral part of project teams, responsible for erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding structures safely and efficiently, strictly adhering to industry regulations and company safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding structures safely and efficiently according to design specifications and safety regulations (SG4:22, TG20:21).
- Inspect scaffolding components for defects and ensure all materials are fit for purpose.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE and following site-specific safety plans.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and site personnel to ensure project timelines are met.
- Interpret and work from scaffolding design drawings and blueprints.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and cared for.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards before commencing work.
- Ensure secure anchorage and stability of scaffolding structures.
- Report any structural defects or safety concerns immediately to the site supervisor.
Required Skills
- Valid CISRS Card (Part 1 or Part 2 Scaffolder minimum)
- Proven experience as a Scaffolder in commercial, residential, or industrial settings.
- Comprehensive understanding of scaffolding safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong physical fitness and manual dexterity.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using scaffolding tools and equipment safely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced CISRS Scaffolder Card.
- Experience with various types of scaffolding systems (e.g., system scaffolding, tube and fitting).
- Full UK driving license with own transport.
- First Aid certification.
- Confined Space training.
