Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, and wiping down surfaces in offices, residential units, and hotel guest rooms/public areas.
  • Clean and sanitise restrooms, bathrooms, and kitchenettes to the highest hygiene standards, ensuring all fixtures are sparkling and supplies are replenished.
  • Empty waste bins and replace liners, managing waste disposal according to site-specific guidelines.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, removing smudges and streaks for a pristine finish.
  • Polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings to enhance their appearance and longevity.
  • Restock amenities and supplies in designated areas (e.g., toilet paper, hand soap, towels, guest toiletries).
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines, regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning tasks to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring they are kept in good working order.
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and respect for privacy, particularly when working in residential properties and hotel rooms.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding scheduling, tasks, and any issues encountered.
  • Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and consistently, meeting established quality standards and client expectations.

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products, methods, and equipment.

  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion in all work environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months' previous experience in a professional cleaning role (e.g., commercial, residential, hospitality).
  • Familiarity with various cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
  • Basic understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel between sites.
  • Experience working with diverse client requirements and managing varied cleaning schedules.
