Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities according to established standards and schedules.
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and sanitizing all surfaces, fixtures, and appliances.
- Emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
- Replenishing room amenities, linens, and supplies as required.
- Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Assisting with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and sorting linens, when necessary.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably within a hospitality or residential setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with commercial cleaning equipment.
- Fluency in both English and French.
