Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Romford, London. This full-time role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various sites within the Romford area. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be the backbone of our operational excellence, directly overseeing a team of cleaning operatives, managing schedules, and conducting quality inspections. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cleaning operatives to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules, allocating tasks efficiently to team members.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections of premises to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met and maintained.
- Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper usage.
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, COSHH guidelines, and company policies at all times.
- Address and resolve any cleaning-related issues or client complaints promptly and professionally.
- Perform periodic performance reviews for team members and identify areas for improvement or further training.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, inspections, and inventory.
- Act as the primary point of contact between cleaning operatives and management, relaying information effectively.
- Assist with hands-on cleaning duties when necessary to support the team and meet deadlines.
Required Skills
- Proven supervisory experience in a cleaning or facilities management environment (minimum 2 years).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning, including COSHH.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Cleaning & Support Services or a related field.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience with advanced cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for scheduling and reporting.
