Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic Patient Care Coordinator to join our esteemed team at Ngoma Health Center. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient scheduling, registration, and admission processes efficiently and courteously.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and guiding them through clinic services.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and care transitions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, both physical and electronic, ensuring data integrity.
  • Provide clear information to patients regarding appointments, procedures, necessary preparations, and follow-up care.
  • Handle patient billing, insurance verification, and payment collection in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Facilitate referrals to specialists or other healthcare facilities as needed, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Resolve patient concerns and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Assist with inventory management of office supplies and maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
  • Contribute to patient education efforts by distributing relevant health materials and answering general questions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in Kinyarwanda and English (oral and written).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and data entry.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to patient interaction.
