Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and log patient specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare specimens for testing, including centrifugation and aliquoting.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures under direct supervision, following strict protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace and equipment.
- Monitor inventory of lab supplies and assist with restocking as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control guidelines.
- Dispose of biohazardous waste in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist licensed technologists with routine tasks and data entry.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding specimen status and issues.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
