Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming food products in designated cold storage areas.
- Accurately picking and preparing orders for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities and product types.
- Performing systematic stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/FEFO) to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
- Maintaining strict cleanliness and hygiene standards within the cold room and surrounding areas.
- Monitoring and recording storage temperatures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Operating manual and/or electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and assisting with stock reconciliation.
- Adhering to all company policies, safety procedures (including HACCP), and food handling guidelines.
- Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries as required.
- Identifying and reporting any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with products.
