Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced color grading and correction on various projects, including film, video, commercials, and digital content.
- Collaborate with directors, cinematographers, and post-production teams to develop and maintain a consistent visual style and aesthetic for each project.
- Ensure technical specifications are met for various delivery platforms (broadcast, web, theatrical, etc.) regarding color space, luminance, and file formats.
- Manage and organize color grading sessions, project files, and associated metadata efficiently.
- Implement creative color solutions to enhance storytelling, evoke specific moods, and resolve challenging visual issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, software advancements, and color science methodologies.
- Provide clear communication and present color grading choices effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard color grading software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro with Lumetri Color, Baselight).
- Strong understanding of color theory, color psychology, and lighting principles.
- Demonstrable portfolio showcasing exceptional color grading work across various genres.
- Solid knowledge of video codecs, file formats, color spaces (Rec. 709, P3, Rec. 2020), and LUTs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to visual perfection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Film Production, Cinematography, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience with HDR workflows and Dolby Vision mastering.
- Familiarity with visual effects (VFX) compositing and finishing pipelines.
