Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with the preparation and cooking of various dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including equipment and utensils, in line with food safety regulations.
- Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of food products to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
- Support the overall kitchen operations, including dishwashing, stock taking, and receiving deliveries.
- Learn and master fundamental cooking techniques and procedures from experienced culinary professionals.
- Prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as directed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and supporting colleagues during busy service periods.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures within the kitchen environment.
