Flow Jamaica is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Community Liaison to join our team in Montego Bay, Saint James Parish. This full-time, on-site role is critical to the success of our local community projects, serving as the vital bridge between Flow Jamaica and the communities we serve. As a Community Liaison, you will be at the forefront of our engagement efforts, working directly with local residents, community leaders, businesses, and government officials to ensure our projects are culturally sensitive, impactful, and aligned with local needs. You will play a pivotal role in fostering mutual understanding, gathering crucial feedback, and resolving any issues that may arise during project implementation. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Flow Jamaica and local community stakeholders, including residents, community leaders, and local government officials.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with community members, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Actively participate in community meetings, events, and discussions to represent Flow Jamaica and gather feedback.
  • Communicate project goals, progress, and impacts clearly and effectively to community members.
  • Identify community needs and concerns related to project implementation and relay them to internal teams.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and address community grievances promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of community outreach programs and engagement events.
  • Prepare regular reports on community sentiment, engagement activities, and project-related feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure community perspectives are integrated into project design and execution.
  • Ensure all community engagement activities adhere to Flow Jamaica's corporate social responsibility guidelines and local regulations.

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong understanding of local culture and community dynamics in Montego Bay and Saint James Parish
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations or community-based projects

  • Knowledge of local government structures and processes in Jamaica
