Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport company personnel, clients, materials, and documents to designated locations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is roadworthy and well-maintained.
- Maintain accurate logbooks of journeys, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle service records.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Plan efficient routes using navigation tools, considering traffic conditions and time constraints.
- Ensure the vehicle is always clean, tidy, and presentable.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents promptly to the fleet manager or supervisor.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as required, ensuring their safe delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company information and passenger conversations.
- Assist passengers with luggage and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or G preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of professional driving experience, preferably as a company driver
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic patterns, especially around Mile 12
- Strong defensive driving skills and a clean driving record
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., oil, water, tire pressure)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
