We are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Compliance Officer specializing in Audit, Legal, and Governance to join our dedicated team in Leeds. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on compliance-related matters, fostering a strong compliance culture.
  • Manage and oversee legal documentation, contracts, and agreements, ensuring all legal obligations are met.
  • Prepare and present detailed compliance reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections or inquiries.
  • Oversee corporate governance frameworks, ensuring ethical standards and good corporate citizenship.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, incidents, and breaches promptly and effectively.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or similar role, specifically within audit, legal, and governance.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks relevant to recruitment or professional services (e.g., GDPR, ICO guidelines, employment legislation).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical business processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and advising at all organizational levels.
  • High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in risk management methodologies and internal control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective compliance training.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., ICA Diploma in Compliance, CAMS, CRCM).
