Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled workers such as carpenters, masons, and electricians with various tasks.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision, including shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and power drills.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, cleaning up spills, and waste disposal.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) diligently.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools as instructed.
- Assist with the demolition of structures, as well as the dismantling of scaffolding and temporary constructions.
- Support with basic mixing of concrete, mortar, and other construction compounds.
- Execute other general labor duties as assigned by supervisors or site managers.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 25 kg), standing for long periods, bending, and kneeling.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Punctuality and commitment to daily attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6 months+) in a construction or general labor role.
