Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects from planning to closeout, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and schedule.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage project budgets, including cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Oversee procurement processes, negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, and manage vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams, providing regular project updates.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent project delays or cost overruns.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor work quality, progress, and adherence to specifications.
- Manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals efficiently.
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Implement quality control programs to ensure all work meets Career.zycto's high standards.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years (60 months) of progressive experience in construction project management.
- Proven experience managing commercial, industrial, or large-scale residential construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant building codes.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification.
- Experience with LEED certified projects or sustainable construction practices.
- Familiarity with the local Anniston/Oxford construction market and regulatory environment.
