Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor tasks including site clean-up, material handling and transport, and assisting skilled tradespeople.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
  • Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of job sites, including scaffolding and safety barriers.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth using hand tools and basic machinery.
  • Assist in the pouring and finishing of concrete, and the erection of structures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent hazards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Adhere to project schedules and quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in commercial or industrial construction.
