Job Description

Mphatlalatsane Hotel is excited to announce an opening for a Cook Trainee in Ha Matlosa, Mohale’s Hoek. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of various dishes, adhering to recipes and quality standards.
  • Learn and practice fundamental cooking techniques, including knife skills, mise en place, and basic food preparation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times, following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Support inventory management by assisting with receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients.
  • Follow instructions diligently and complete tasks efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Observe and learn from experienced kitchen staff, actively seeking opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues.

Required Skills

  • Ability to speak Sesotho is an advantage.
