Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior compliance officers with research on regulatory updates, industry best practices, and legislative changes across various sectors.
- Review, organize, and maintain compliance-related documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Support the preparation of comprehensive compliance reports, risk assessments, and presentations for internal review and client delivery.
- Conduct precise data entry and maintain accurate records within compliance management systems and databases.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training materials and workshops for clients on compliance topics.
- Provide essential administrative support to the compliance team, including scheduling, correspondence, and file management.
- Monitor news and regulatory alerts for changes in relevant legislation and guidance from governing bodies.
- Help to identify potential compliance risks within client operations and assist in the development and implementation of mitigation strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously enhance knowledge of compliance standards and regulations.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant post-secondary program (e.g., Law, Business, Finance, Political Science, Public Administration).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of articulating complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for various tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and ethical conduct.
